Technological education, as a curricular space, aims to promote in the training of boys and girls both the development of the ability to identify and solve technical problems and a look that identifies technology as a fundamental aspect of culture, favoring new links between students and the technological environment in which they are immersed. Thus, at school children should be initiated into the study of what some authors call technological culture. In carrying out technological education teaching activities, the purposes pursued transcend the reproduction of significant meaningful techniques or the development of skills. We understand technological education as a general education, for all levels. Technological processes are taken into account as processes on the matter, energy, and information. Technological education is a school discipline, of general training, which enables students to approach the knowledge of a world created by man, an artificial world, with a fundamentally technological culture and that creates certain relationships between man and man, with the social, with the natural, with the cultural, with the political-ideological, with the ethical.

Access the knowledge of technological culture, of this artificial world, but the student in contact with certain techniques, procedures, resources, materials, processes, and objects of this world. 

Something important to mention is what changes has technology brought to education? 
A few years ago, students could only access education in person. They had large quantities of books and notebooks, and searching for information manually was much more time-consuming. Information on paper was indispensable. Technology brought with it the ability to study online, which simplifies access to education in terms of time and place, finding information is much easier, and huge databases can be accessed quickly.

Nowadays people can access information from any smart device and even attend conferences through video calls. The creation of projects is much easier since technology brought new tools that supplant the paper. In short, technology in education has made learning easier, more comfortable, and even affordable. The digital age does not stop, so teachers and specialists must be aware of new technologies to prepare their students. It is also worth mentioning that the benefits of educational technology are numerous.

Students can interact, play and examine from diverse structures; which fosters a climate of participation during classes. They can also learn at a distance and at flexible times, and customize their lessons according to their needs. As for teachers, they have excellent organizational, planning, and teaching tools, saving them a lot of time to review or advance faster. Technology platforms can integrate all school staff as students share concerns, teachers manage their groups, and administrators monitor class achievements. Thanks to educational technology, the school staff can take care of both its students and their needs. Educational software exists to identify the risk of dropping out early, to provide support to students.
